Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Tigard, Oregon location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and thrive in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, and handling live animals.
