Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This full-time role in Toronto, Ontario, requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, monitor pet health and transport to vet if needed.
• Assist other departments, participate in recognition culture, and adhere to all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training/safety certification. Strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, computer proficiency, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, wet/noisy conditions with animals). Depth perception and team lifting for heavier pets required.
