Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health/safety standards. This full-time role in Toronto, Ontario, requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands including lifting up to 50lbs and working in a pet-filled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
• Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and drive sales of services/merchandise to meet targets.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, client records, reminder calls, and exceptional pet parent experiences.
• Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation via daily checklists; respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to store culture.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong organization, attention to safety/detail, and communication skills. Physical ability to stand, lift 50lbs+, handle pets in wet/noisy conditions essential.
