Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive pet parent experiences. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon operations, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily maintenance.
• Drive sales through merchandise/service recommendations to meet targets.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and offer flexible scheduling for evenings/weekends/holidays. Strong organization, attention to safety, and communication skills required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
