Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer service and sales to drive positive experiences and salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and client records.
- Promote salon sales, recommend merchandise/services to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation; respond to pet health issues, including vet transport.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/noisy environments and live animals.
