Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales growth in a fast-paced pet retail environment. Full-time position in Trinity, FL, with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on pet needs, recommend wellness solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, pet safety, and humane conditions; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
- Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart's values of belonging and recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy environments with live animals.
