Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service, salon operations, and sales growth. You'll maintain the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and drive salon sales.
• Uphold salon hygiene through daily maintenance, end-of-day cleaning, and immediate response to pet health issues.
• Promote merchandise/services, achieve sales targets, and assist other departments as needed.
• Participate in company culture, follow policies, and ensure humane pet handling.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled environment.
