Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement. Located in Tucson, Arizona, this position offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per company standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost sales and pet health.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Collaborate across departments, promote company culture, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, organizational prowess, and strong communication are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
