Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales to uphold our vision of best-in-class pet care. Located in Tulsa, OK, you'll thrive in a dynamic retail environment focused on pet health, safety, and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out, reminder calls, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness and humane conditions; perform daily maintenance and end-of-day deep cleans.
- Monitor pet health, respond to emergencies by transporting to vets if needed, and assist other departments as required.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy, noisy environments with reasonable accommodations available.
