Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional grooming services while ensuring pet health, safety, and outstanding customer experiences. This hands-on role involves full-service grooming, client consultations, and salon operations in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend services/products to boost sales.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong organization, attention to safety, and superior communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in wet/noisy environments with animals.
