Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost sales and pet care.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift 50+ lbs. Flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays essential. Physical demands include standing, stooping, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments and moderate noise.
