Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and commitment to cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time position with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products, and manage appointments via phone/in-person.
- Drive salon sales targets through upselling and promotions while handling check-in/out procedures.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health emergencies.
- Support store operations and embody PetSmart's Belonging culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and lift 50+ lbs. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy settings with live animals.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products while managing check-in/out and reservations
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and handle sick/injured pets immediately
- Drive salon sales through promotions and merchandise recommendations
- Participate in team support across departments and uphold company policies
