Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and delights pet parents. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement to drive salon success in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Excel in high-pressure settings with strong organization, communication, and computer skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling essential.
