Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health and safety standards. This dynamic role in our Vancouver store combines hands-on grooming with customer interaction to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend services/merchandise.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and respond to pet health issues.
- Drive sales targets and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must have computer skills, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling for evenings/weekends/holidays, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend health solutions and upsell services
- Manage salon check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and handle sick pets
- Promote salon sales and participate in store culture
