Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Vancouver, WA salon, you'll deliver best-in-class services for dogs and cats while engaging pet parents. Uphold PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and positive experiences in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions, manage pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, and register.
- Handle reservations, check-ins/outs, client records, and reminder calls; promote sales to meet targets.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation, monitor pet health, and assist across departments as needed.
- Follow all policies, participate in recognition culture, and respond to pet emergencies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Excel in high-pressure settings with strong organization, communication, and computer skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise/water. Flexible scheduling essential.
