Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement in a fast-paced retail environment, sharing responsibility for salon operations and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products/services to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize meticulously. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, working in wet/hairy/noisy settings with live animals. Flexible scheduling essential (evenings, weekends, holidays).
