Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold cleanliness, pet health, and safety standards while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in our Ventura store.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend merchandise/services to boost sales targets.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking, client records.
• Maintain impeccable salon hygiene via daily maintenance checklists; respond to pet health issues promptly.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, safety focus, and superior communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, noisy, wet environment with mechanical exposure.
