Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions daily.
- Drive sales through merchandise/service promotions to meet targets.
- Respond to pet health issues, including vet transport if needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
