Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health and safety. This full-time role in Victoria, BC, requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage check-ins/outs, reservations, and client records.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations, promotions, and achieving productivity targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues.
- Participate in store culture, follow policies, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a wet, noisy environment with live animals.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents, recommend services, manage appointments and check-ins
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and health standards
- Promote sales, achieve targets, and upsell merchandise
- Assist other departments and respond to pet emergencies
