Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds top standards for pet health, safety, and salon excellence. This hands-on role in our Victoria store combines technical grooming skills with outstanding customer service to boost salon performance and pet well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and drive sales of merchandise/services to meet targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, client records, reminder calls, and rebookings for seamless experiences.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane conditions.
- Monitor pet health; transport sick/injured pets to vet as required and assist other store areas.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training + certification). Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, organize efficiently, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
