Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll handle full grooming menus, maintain salon standards, and contribute to sales goals while prioritizing pet health, safety, and cleanliness in a fast-paced store setting.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet/hairy environments with moderate-high noise, handle live animals, and climb ladders. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute bath, brush, grooming, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Ensure salon sanitation via daily maintenance checklists; address sick/injured pets immediately.
- Participate in store culture, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/technical evaluation. Key traits: composure under pressure, organizational prowess, safety focus, strong communication, computer proficiency. Passion for pets and customer service essential.
