Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and commitment to cleanliness/safety in a fast-paced retail environment. Located in Virginia Beach, VA, you'll thrive in a supportive store fostering professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise.
- Handle pet parent interactions, reservations, check-ins/outs, and records.
- Maintain salon hygiene, perform daily maintenance, and address pet health issues promptly.
- Collaborate across departments to meet sales targets and support store operations.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must possess computer skills, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise/wet conditions.
