Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll perform grooming, maintain salon standards, promote sales, and prioritize pet health/safety in our Waco store. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, handle reservations, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and merchandise upsells to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness/sanitation; respond to pet health issues and assist departments as needed.
- Uphold company policies, safety protocols, and culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure.
