Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, safety standards, and customer engagement in a fast-paced store setting.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions, climb ladders, and work amid moderate-to-high noise with live animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook services.
- Handle check-in/out, phone reservations, and salon maintenance.
- Promote sales to meet targets while prioritizing pet health/safety.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, computer proficiency, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Depth perception and physical stamina essential.
