Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) at our Waldorf store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering best-in-class salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness, pet health, and safety in a dynamic retail environment.

Essential Physical Demands

Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in wet conditions with pet hair, moderate to high noise, and handle live animals. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming menu and standalone services per PetSmart standards.
• Recommend health/wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services to hit sales targets.
• Handle pet parent experience: greet, answer questions, manage reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls.
• Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; respond to sick/injured pets.
• Assist other departments and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong organization, communication, and safety focus.
