Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, salon maintenance, and sales to uphold our vision of pet health and happiness. Located in Washington, Missouri, you'll work in a dynamic retail environment with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
• Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness, pet safety, and humane conditions; perform daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong organization, attention to safety, and communication skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
