Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement and sales opportunities in our vibrant Wauwatosa store.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on pet needs, recommend wellness solutions, and drive salon sales to meet targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon sanitation through daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning checklists.
- Monitor pet health, respond to emergencies, and assist other departments as required.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-filled environments with moderate noise.
