Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation; respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
- Promote salon growth, participate in store culture, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize meticulously. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
