Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out, reminder calls, and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness and humane pet conditions; respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to our culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and possess strong organization, communication, and safety focus. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
