Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Weatherford, Texas store, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with sales acumen and operational excellence in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage reservations/check-ins/outs, conduct reminder calls, and maintain accurate records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness and safety through daily maintenance; respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments, follow company policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
