Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. Based in Webster, New York, this role combines hands-on grooming expertise with outstanding customer service to drive salon success.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
• Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure salon sanitation through daily maintenance, end-of-day cleaning, and humane pet conditions.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, and animal handling.
