Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales to uphold our high standards of pet health, safety, and satisfaction. Ideal for animal lovers ready to make a meaningful impact daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, client records, and promotional calls.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet emergencies.
- Collaborate across departments and embody our culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy environments. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays essential.

Responsibilities
