Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services in West Chester, PA. You'll engage pet parents, perform professional grooming, ensure pet safety, and drive salon success while upholding our vision for outstanding pet care experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Promote sales of merchandise/services to meet targets; assist in other departments as needed.
- Respond to pet health issues, including vet transport if required.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Requires computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled environment.
