Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and company standards while recommending wellness solutions. This dynamic role involves hands-on grooming, client interaction, and salon operations in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Engage pet parents in-person/phone/register to manage appointments, rebookings, and sales targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and respond to pet health issues.
- Promote merchandise/services to boost salon productivity and metrics.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies for a safe, welcoming space.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/technical evaluation. Excel in computer use, pressure handling, organization, and communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, noisy/wet environment. Flexible scheduling essential.
