Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Willmar, Minnesota location, you'll provide best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role upholds PetSmart's vision through skilled grooming, customer engagement, and salon excellence.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift over 100 lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in a wet, pet hair-filled environment with moderate to high noise and live animal exposure. Depth perception and composure under pressure required.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently deliver full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
• Handle check-in/out, phone reservations, and sales register interactions.
• Maintain salon cleanliness via daily checklists and respond to pet health issues.
• Drive salon sales through merchandise recommendations and metrics achievement.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart’s 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and safety focus essential. React calmly under pressure.
