Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll handle full grooming menus, maintain hygiene standards, and contribute to salon success in a fast-paced store setting. This role demands physical stamina, pet-handling expertise, and customer focus amid moderate noise, wet conditions, and animal exposure.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), climb ladders, stoop/kneel. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
Independently execute grooming services per PetSmart standards; greet clients, manage reservations/check-ins; recommend wellness solutions; promote sales; uphold cleanliness/safety; respond to pet health issues; assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming or PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Excel in composure under pressure, organization, communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Computer proficiency essential for records and sales.
