Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and company standards while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage reservations, check-ins/outs, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Promote sales, recommend merchandise/services, and contribute to salon metrics.
- Assist other departments and participate in company culture initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled environment.
