Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service in a fast-paced retail environment, sharing responsibility for salon operations and store-wide pet health.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Uphold salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health emergencies.
• Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart's values of inclusion and recognition.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy (6 months training + certification). Must excel in high-pressure settings, possess computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy environments. Flexible scheduling required (evenings/weekends/holidays).
