Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer service to drive positive outcomes and salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products/services to meet pet needs and boost sales.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking, and records.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond urgently to sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed; assist other store areas and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months in PetSmart's Salon Academy with certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, organize efficiently, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling pets in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment.
