Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and satisfaction. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with outstanding customer service in a dynamic retail environment, sharing responsibility for salon operations and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products, and drive salon sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, client records, and reminder calls for seamless experiences.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and address pet health issues promptly.
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in wet, noisy pet environments.
