Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming with customer interaction to drive salon success in our Winnipeg, Manitoba location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products, and upsell to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Assist other store departments and embody PetSmart's values of recognition and inclusion.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize efficiently. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in wet, pet-filled environments with moderate-to-high noise. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
