Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement and sales opportunities in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
- Drive salon productivity by promoting services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond swiftly to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, organize efficiently, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing extensively, and handling pets in a noisy, wet environment with pet hair exposure.
