Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon operations, and sales growth. Maintain the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
• Engage pet parents in consultations, recommend wellness solutions, and promote services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
• Ensure salon sanitation through daily maintenance, end-of-day cleaning, and immediate action on sick/injured pets.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, moderate-noise environment.
