Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist), deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats. Engage pet parents, ensure pet health/safety, and drive salon success while upholding PetSmart's vision and values. Share cleanliness responsibilities in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult pet parents on wellness solutions, promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; address sick/injured pets immediately.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, participate in team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle animals in wet/noisy conditions.
