Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness and humane conditions; perform daily maintenance and respond to pet health emergencies.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to our inclusive culture.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize with safety focus. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy environments.
