Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; greet and assist customers in-person and via phone.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Monitor pet health, transport sick/injured pets to vets as needed, and support other store departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
