Role Overview
The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers top-tier grooming services, trains emerging talent, and elevates the salon to peak performance. This full-time role demands leadership without direct reports, focusing on mentoring bathers and stylists through PetSmart's development program while ensuring exceptional pet care and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Onboard, train, mentor, and coach associates; facilitate certifications and identify academy candidates.
- Drive salon excellence: Perform baths, grooms, nail trims, and more; maintain hygiene, safety, and humane standards.
- Enhance customer experience: Greet pet parents, recommend services, handle bookings, resolve concerns, and boost sales/rebookings.
- Operational leadership: Delegate tasks, monitor metrics, report issues, and collaborate with store leaders on trends.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability, tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational precision. Passion for pets and team success is essential.
