Role Overview
The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers top-tier grooming services, trains new bathers and stylists, and ensures exceptional pet parent experiences. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming expertise with leadership to build high-performing salon teams and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people development: Onboard, mentor, coach associates through bather/stylist certification; provide feedback for reviews and promotions.
- Perform professional grooming: Full baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
- Enhance pet parent experience: Greet, consult, book appointments, promote services, and resolve concerns.
- Maintain salon excellence: Ensure cleanliness, safety, humane pet care; report issues and manage supplies.
- Drive performance: Boost sales, productivity, and engagement through promotions and rebooking.
Experience & Skills
Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability, tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. No direct reports, but guide associate growth.
