Role Overview

The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers top-tier grooming services, trains new bathers and stylists, and ensures exceptional pet parent interactions. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming with leadership to build high-performing salon teams and uphold PetSmart's standards of quality, safety, and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead people development: Onboard, mentor, coach associates through bather/stylist certification, provide feedback for reviews/promotions.
• Drive salon excellence: Perform baths, grooms, nail trims; maintain cleanliness, sanitation, humane conditions; report pet health issues.
• Enhance customer experience: Greet pet parents, recommend services, handle bookings/concerns, promote rebookings and sales.
• Operational leadership: Delegate tasks, ensure policy compliance, communicate needs to store leaders, assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability, tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, organization, and ability to thrive under pressure. Guide associates without direct reports.
