Role Overview

The Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) delivers top-tier grooming services, trains new associates, and ensures exceptional pet parent satisfaction. This full-time role combines hands-on grooming with leadership to build high-performing salon teams and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead people development: Onboard, mentor, and coach bathers/stylists through certification programs; provide feedback for reviews and promotions.
• Execute professional grooming: Perform baths, brushes, nail trims, and full services per PetSmart standards, prioritizing pet safety and welfare.
• Enhance customer experience: Greet pet parents, recommend services, handle inquiries, and promote rebookings/marketing via booking systems.
• Maintain salon excellence: Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, inventory, and compliance; report issues and assist across store departments.
• Drive performance: Identify talent for academy training, delegate tasks, resolve associate concerns, and boost sales/productivity metrics.

Experience & Skills

Require 2+ years grooming experience (technical exam possible), full availability, tool proficiency, computer skills, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational detail-orientation. No direct reports, but guide associate growth.
